Bengt-Erik Löfgren, Co-founder and Business developer

Mr Löfgren was coordinator of the Swedish Pellet Association. He has worked both in academia and the bioenergy industry for over 30 years. He is one of the best-known bioenergy experts in Sweden. He has been part of governmental standardization committees. He was the initiator of bringing the industrial biochar concept to Sweden in 2007 and has been part of the development of climate-positive systems and business concepts. He is by Argus Media named as Top 36 Most Influential Leaders in the Biomass Industry.

Sven-Olof Bernhoff, Co-founder and Chairman

Mr. Bernhoff is the initiator behind the largest biochar production facility in the EU, the Skånefrö biochar production system in Hammenhög. He has been working in the biochar sector for over ten years and has been part of designing some of the largest biochar trials in the world and has a long career in the agricultural sector as CEO of the leading seed company, Skånefrö. He led the EU LIFE project BIOAGRO, awarded as Best of the Best by the EU commission. 

David Andersson, Co-founder and CEO

Mr. Andersson has a background in agriculture, molecular biology, and sustainability-driven innovation. He hold a M.Sc in Molecular Biology and an M.Sc. in Innovation and Entrepreneurship. He is the co-author of the International Biochar Initiative Biochar Carbon Stability Test Method. He has worked in the biochar field for over ten years in practical applications, field trials, CDR policy and has guided and conducted academic biochar research. He serves as CEO at ECOERA.
